1999 GMC K 2500 Suburban 4WD transfer case problems
Trying to identify problem. On my 99 burb my transfer case has been replaced due to an improper lift kit install. 8 Months later new transfer case blows again after new (correct) lift installed, now and soon after the transfer blows I loose 1st and reverse after a loud pop! Because this is the auto track transfer does the transfer have to be engaged to blow the 1st and reverse gears in the transmission? Everyone I have talked to says the bad alignment with the transfer linkage blew the transfer case however can their be inclusive damage to the transmission?

Re: 1999 GMC K 2500 Suburban 4WD transfer case problems
old post but ...I've read where some lift kits require a new front drive shaft with auto track vehicle lift kits.
