DVD Headunit repair

So, I've got a Jensen VM 9410 DVD pop out head unit. It works flawlessly, except recently if the screen is tilted back at a normal viewing angle, the screen shuts off. If it is tilted way towards the ground, then it works. Is there a simple switch that I can replace?

Thanks...

Re: DVD Headunit repair

Unless you know alot about electronics PLEASE don't try to fix it yourself you will only make it worse. If it's still under warranty then send it in for repair, but since you're asking the question on here I'm assuming that it's no longer under warranty. Best thing to do is NOT take it apart but inspect the connections from the screen to the head unit when it is in different positions to see if when it cuts out if the connections seem extremely tight like it might be pulling something loose inside. You can send it in for repair even if the warranty is gone but it will probably cost quite a bit. Depending on how much you paid for it depends on whether to get it repaired or replaced, only person that can make that decision is you.
