Trailblazer AC issue

My 02 Trailblazer only blows AC/Heat if the temp. knob is turned to 4 or 5. 1 thru 3 don't do anything at all, so I have to either be freezing or burning up. What's the fix?

Re: Trailblazer AC issue

I mean the knob in the center dash console that has settings 1 through 5 on it. 1 through 3 don't work at all, but 4 and 5 are fine.

Re: Trailblazer AC issue

I lost settings 2 and 4. Replaced blower motor resistor and works like new again. This is a very common issue with these vehicles.

I had a similar issue so I went to replace my blower motor resistor and the cable that connects to the resistor looks a little fried in one place. I guess I have to try and find out how to replace the connector now since replacing the resistor didn't fix anything but the old resistor was fried a bit too so it was part of the problem.

My issue is where do I find and get a new cable for the resistor and what does it connect to on the other side opposite the resistor.
