Question Revell Porsche 930 Turbo - Help needed!

Hi guys,

A quick question. Does anyone from you have this Revell Porsche 930 Turbo 'Premium' kit at home, or at least the instruction sheet. I'm looking for the partnumbers of the front and rear windows. They were broken in the box and I have a Fujimi one. Fujimi 'Enthousiast' and Revell 'Premium' are the same, so if anyone could tell me the Revell partnumbers I can get them from Revell parts department in Germany.

Help is really much appreciated

Thanks in advance,

Guido

That's a pretty old kit and unfortunately, you most likely won't be able to get parts for the kit anymore.

I believe window parts are the same in all the Fujimi Porsche 911 coupes of the same era, so you should still be able to order replacements from Fujimi.

Sure thing it's an old kit. Don't know where I could get parts from Fujimi in Europe For Revell however I know where to get them. And they are able to supply some really old parts to. I've visited the factory in Gemany once. That's how I know and that's why I'm trying to get the Revell partnumber.

So anyone else?

Huudo, go to this link:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/gpma/

You will have to join the group to post messages, but the guys in there are of the more "mature" generation and are very into racing subjects and older kits. I'd recommend you give your inquiry a try there. My ex-GF bought me a Fujimi Ferrari Dino 246 gts without instructions at a show and several of the guys responded within a few hours. About one week later, a new set of photocopied instructions were in my mailbox.

Good luck Huudo

Thanks for the tip, but probably it's just me, but I found it really hard to register there. And then when I tried to post something I got an error message. Anyway, will give it another go. Probably I'm just getting to old

While looking for the instructions to see what the part numbers for the front and rear windows(which are in G-sprue like GTI:s scan shows) I found some construction notes I made while building the kit.

I don't know if these are of any help to you but I'll tell them anyway:

*check out the fit of the rubber parts that are attached to bumpers before you paint the body, as they don't fit too well

*the rear of the rear window shelf(the thing between window and rear seat) can interfere with engine, so you may need to file away a bit off from it

*the engine fit may cause troubles, so be careful

*rear tires are easier to align correctly if you attach the brake & tire combinations to the frame after you have glued the body to the bottom

*front tires may end up being too far in front, so you may have to adjust the suspension a little

*front bumper/spoiler needs adjusting, otherwise it'll end up being too low

Many thanks to all for the efforts, but I really need the Revell partnumbers I don't know where to order Fujimi part in the Benelux, but I know I can order parts with Revell in Germany. In fact they have a rock solid parts service. :sun:

I'll keep on searching
