alarms and security systems

I have a 04 Silverado and would like a better alarm system. Something that will alarm when someone breaks in. My understanding is that the factory alarm that I have only keeps the engine from starting and does not alarm when someone breaks in. I would like to know if any one has had after market alarms installed and what there input is on them. Thanks

i think a alarm is a good investment. i would stick with directed electronics like python or viper. they are both very dependable and have lifetime warrantys.

I have a Clifford Alarm. Never Falses and works great. Starter kill installed as well so that I save a little on my insurance.
