Fuel System or Electrical Problem?

I have a '92 Prelude S, automatic. In first and second gear, at a certain throttle position - about half, the engine feels like it's misfiring. I replaced the fuel injectors thinking one was bad but it still seems to happen. I was thinking it might be the fuel pump because sometimes it takes forever to start, it just cranks and cranks...even if i pump the gas. All the connections to the injectors are good...I dont know what else it could be
here are some of the mods that i've got for those systems: Aerospeed fuel pressure regulator, new fuel filter, new injectors, new-er spark plugs and wires, msd ignition control, coil and distributor cap, obx throttle rotor.
Any help would be great...

Re: Fuel System or Electrical Problem?

well...I think I found the problem...four NGK Iridium IX plugs that look like this...

and they had a dark brown oily type liquid on them...they were only about 7 months old too...i don't get it...

Re: Fuel System or Electrical Problem?

whats not to get man you are running msd with iridium bad combo man.. u do understand that the iridium already burns really hot not to mention that the msd is gna make it run hotter. take the iridiums out and put a ngk regular v power plug because the msd runs hotter u have to get a plug that runs cooler to counteract this problem u should have said u had iridiums.. and as far as the brown oil u might have to replace your valve cover gasket because the oil gets out at the valve cover and leaks down the spark plug tubes and stays there and sometime can leak into the combustion chamber through the threads of the spark plug.. and cause misfire or lack of power symptoms.. so replace the valve cover gasket and then the spark plugs get the factory ones for the car if the motor is a swap get the plugs for the year and make of the car that the motor came out of... its definitely running way to hot look at the base of the plug the metal plating is coming off
