Unhappy radiator

Im needing a radiator for a 1998 aurora, if someone has one or knows where I can get one please let me know. I don't want to pay an arm or a leg for it, because I think I have a head gasket problem because the coolant was being forced back out of the overflow cap. The gasket was shot on the cap so I replaced that, but with a crack in the radiator I'm kinda stuck. thanks for your help.

Re: radiator

check local junk yards. got mine for 70 dollars. was easy to replace. why gm would put plastic radiators into this car is beyond me. mine cracked at top.

Re: radiator

go to car-part.com and you can search all junk yards around where you are. for any part you could possibly ever need.

Re: radiator

Just my 2 cents, but I don't know why someone would ever buy a used radiator. That radiator will fail in probably half the time or less of a new radiator and is it really worth the $100 you save vs the labor you will need to reinvest when you have to install another radiator in 2 years? Not to mention needing another radiator. You can pick a radiator up on rockauto for $200 shipped. Why mess around with a junk yard part?

Cool Re: radiator

Hello;

Check Ebay, also a place on line, Just Google under Radiator, and you have a few companies you can order on line and delivered to your home.
No core charge an reasonable.

Thanks

Re: radiator

I know it's a late reply but for anybody else that will need a radiator...here's the bomb. http://www.radiatorbarn.com/

Best price I've found...fast shipping...direct replacement. I've done a few replacements on the Aurora...plastic tank usually splits on the passenger side opposite of the hose. Good news is that it only takes about an 1 hour or so to do the work.

Regards.....
