1998 Protege

I have a 98 Mazda Protege DX. It is standard and i just got it from my parents. It didnt come with a tachometer but i found one online that shows when to shift to help me with the shifting. would i be able to install it on my mazda and if so do you know where i could get a guide to.

Is it a Mazda tachometer? If it's not Mazda you need the instructions from the tachometer manufacturer. If it's a Mazda tachometer I don't know, you would need to check the Mazda wiring diagrams. Is there a hole on your dash with a blank plate for a tachometer? Most imports have different dashes if there is no tachometer and installing a factory tachometer would a challange if not impossible.
