Thumbs up Projectors & Pics

I got bored so I finally installed my halo projector headlights today. I'm glad I did too. Damn these things look sick on my car. I'm going for the full black look and damn. It looks so different sitting in my garage. And some random pics. (I bought a new camera today... 7.1MP!) Just got some touchups to do with the bumper. That thing was a bitch to take off. Every nut and bolt was rusted and broke.

Don't have any "for sure" numbers. I've actually yet to race anyone since I did the head swap. Before that, I was able to beat a couple GSTs from a stop. Rolling races I've got issues there, but we know why. The only people that want some from me nowadays have been a Shelby, and cars that I won't even come close to anything with.

I've probably spent way too much money to some people. As I always say, I'm donig it for fun. Sure I coulda bought a GSX and have that thing running 11s or 12s with the money in mine, but this is what I got now. Once I do the full rebuild, this thing will be titties. It's all for fun though. There's a lot you can do though. It's all a matter of money and time, both of which don't come easy.

Re: Projectors & Pics

David, any plans on dynoing before you turbo the beast? I'd like to see your numbers before and after the turbo.

I would like to, but there's only one shop around here that does it, and they charge a fortune, cause it's usually tuning too. I just want like a 3-run pull. I should call them and find out if they do that and how much. I know it's not a lot, but what the hell. They're kinda far too.

Re: Projectors & Pics

the only problem with those lights is I don't think they would AS sexy on cars that aren't black. Black is like perfect for them it completes the whole front end.

Re: Projectors & Pics

This does look like a worthy addition to a black car. This is just the bulb housing and not the halos right? I love the way they look...never gave much thought to actually adding them though.

Please dyno your car before you turbo it. I think everybody on here would like to see just how far you got with it before going to the dark side.

Re: Projectors & Pics

They do 3 pull deals here in MN, but those are just usually on dyno days. IIRC, if a group of more than 5 comes in together, they charge $60 for 3 pulls but if you just come in solo its $75.
