1970-71 Interior Interchangable??

Hi,
I'm selling the back seat and rear arm rests/door panels from a '71 Chevelle that I restored but was totalled. I need to know- Will they fit a 1970 Chevelle?
Any help is much appreciated.

Re: 1970-71 Interior Interchangable??

Good question.....I heard that the back seat length varied on certain years, and also varied within same year for different Chevelle models. I'd recommend going on Chevelle.com and get into their forum titled 'interiors'.
Do a thorough search before asking a question on that site. That topic has been covered many times and I'm sure that there is an answer and info there. The same for the rear panels. Maybe use 'seat interchangeable' as a search term. Good luck.

Another source would be an older version of the Hollander Interchange Manual. Many salvage yards use these to determine interchangeability between years and models of vehicles. I've seen some of the older copies of this book on eBay on occasion. Might be a good thing to own especially if you are starting or are in the process of restoring a vehicle and need to locate parts.

Re: 1970-71 Interior Interchangable??

Thanks for your time and responses!
It looks like it will work, except the cover pattern may be different. That is what I thought, but it's been a few years since I've been around Chevelles.

Hollander Interchange manual- Never heard of that, I'll have to write it down.

I'm in the process of putting a fresh 350 Chevy engine/tranny in a '79 Firebird. I'm sure I'll be back w/ more questions... Thanks again.
