Random Cylinder misfire

Just had EGR can replaced. Orange dash light came on and I took it back to ford. They said that the fact they did not connect one of the vacuum hoses was unrelated and charged another 300 or so for adjustments... Now about 3 weeks later I get a engine shaking at 40 and up consistently. Had the tires balanced-no change. Thought the transmission was going bad (100,000 miles) but the transmission shop said it was a "random cylinder misfire". Anyone had this problem? Any helpful advice would be appreciated. Thx. Tom

Re: Random Cylinder misfire

It sounds like your ignition control module is going bad. It's about $100 for the part. You can do it yourself and save some money.
