Econoline reliability after 100K miles

Greetings. I'm a contractor and am in the market for a van. I'm only able to afford one with somewhere in the range of 90K miles on it. I've not had much luck with Fords but I'd sooner blame myself for not taking good care of the vehicle. How do these vans hold up once they get above 100K miles? And what are some potential problem signs I might look for when looking at these higher mileage Fords? Are there common problems that occur at the 100K mile point? Are there things I should look into replacing right off the bat? Thanks for the expert advice.

E350 just hit 100,000. EGR (or ECR?) cannister under the van (located under the passenger side) fell off and bounced onto the road. Holder rusted out and it ripped from the hoses. Had to get new one installed. Plus other problem getting Ford to adjust properly. [You probably want to immediately inspect it and reinforce the housing.] Around 80000 the heater line to the rear section rusted out and had to be replaced. Also, Tie Rod in front broke and almost caused a SERIOUS accident (have it replaced if a mechanic says ANYTHING about it.) I noticed that the new 08s have a new bigger braking system and suspension system. I think the suspension has always been suspect and they just didn't tell anyone. Hope this helps. Tom
