Knife blades

Which of the blades below is most suitable for modeling?

I was thinking that the first one would be suitable in terms of cutting parts off sprues and for really fine work like removing flash from wheel spokes etc., but do you think the blades would be strong enough or do I need to choose a beefier one?

I use the first two. The top one is the common No11 blade which i now buy in bulk (packs of 100) from http://www.micromark.com/ coz i get through them quickly. These blades are perfectly fine to do all the tasks you mentioned, there's no real need for a 'beefier one' as u put it.

The second one, rounder one, also has its uses but i dont get through them as much. They are good for cutting etched parts from their frets.

i would say number 11 blade is the most suitable, i buys those by the hundreds as well. the curve blade is more suited for cutting flush against some thing cuz theres no sharp corners like on a straight blade that can dig into the surface.
