Find fuse for cigarette lighter

The cigarette lighter is dead, as is the accessory outlet in the rear.
I went through the interior fuses, and they were good.
Any idea where the fuse is located?
Gary

Re: Find fuse for cigarette lighter

Gary-- It makes it lot easier for us for you to supply the year/model/engine(if it is an engine problem) in the title with your posting.
In my prints for a 2000, the fuse is under the hood on the driver's side next to the battery in the Power distribution center. It is a 20A fuse and is #4.
Good Luck

Re: Find fuse for cigarette lighter

Stretch58 - nicely done - thanks for the quick reply! You were right on target, and I was able to make the trip with accessory power. (the owers manual did not point to any fuses being under the hood!)
The problem was a cheap doubler I bought to run the XM raidio and GPS had shorted internally.
Gary
PS - will remember to include pertinent info in the title line.
