1992 cutlass
Can someone tell me how to compress the pistons on the rear brakes? We have never had a car with calipers like this one. We have worked on brakes plenty of times and always compressed the pistons with no problems but these will not budge

Re: 1992 cutlass
There is a special tool that compresses and turns the piston at the same time, Napa or any major parts/tool supplier.

Re: 1992 cutlass
The tool you need looks like this:

Re: 1992 cutlass
This is not a good tool, that will merely turn the piston, but does not apply the required inward pressure.

Re: 1992 cutlass
That is why I said he has to push down while spinning the tool.
It is not the best setup, but it will work as long as the piston is not seized. This would be an easier tool to use, but some people don't want to pay that kinda money.
