pcm

If I get a pcm from an automatic sc2 and put it in a sl2 is it supposed to help performance?

Re: pcm

if the engine, drivetrain, options and year between the PCMs is the same, then the only difference should be the speed limiter, the SC2 was factory equipt with tires that had one level higher speed rating then the SL2/SW2. i beleave the limiter would change from 118MPH to 124MPH, if you do this, be sure you have tires with a H speed rating or better

pcm and burning oil

well i know that my friends saturn coupe chirped it's tires when it shifted. and i heard about the different top speed limiter. so it wont matter that i have a manual, from an automatic? and i recently changed the valve cover gasket, and found that there was a tremendous amount of oil where the spark plugs go, so then i changed the spark plugs, and after that the car burned oil like crazy. im wondering if this is maybe because most of that oil dripped into the combustion chamber when i changed the spark plugs?
