I am getting major detonation at aroung 5000 now. im thinking its too lean at high rpm's with the supercharger. I think i broke something, thats why im inquireing on new engines. I was pushing it really hard.

Re: Tommarrow Is The Day!!!!!

yea you probably broke something. what are you using to tune fuel and timing? 12.4 is pretty fast nice run.

Fuel: t-rex fuel pump, vortech fuel management unit
Timing: msd 6btm boost retard
yea it was a good run and im happy with it, but i would like to run that consistantly without breaking stuff.

Re: Tommarrow Is The Day!!!!!

yea not breaking stuff would be ideal. i'm sure you'll get it figured out. how many miles were on the motor when it broke?

Re: Tommarrow Is The Day!!!!!

Its not completely broken, it starts and runs and drives just fine. i get detonation at high rpm is the main problem. i have a boost control (msd6btm) i called msd to make sure i had it installed correctly and i do. so the only thing i can think of is the fuel is leaning out. i know its pumping it but i think i need to upgrage the injectors.

Re: Tommarrow Is The Day!!!!!

What injectors? What fuel pressure are you seeing while boosting? Do you have a wide band? What octane are you using?

I had a T-Rex on mine, with the intake fuel pump as a band aid. You might want to buy a dual 255 set up, or an Aeromtive 1000a.
