Just out of curiosity...
How much do you guys think I could get for my Talon once its finished?
Not saying I am gonna sell it, but if I did how much do you think I could actually sell it for?... Keep in mind that I do have around 15k invested in the entire thing because I did everything right and I replaced so many parts with new ones... Just curious... I think I could get at least 10k for it...

I bet you could get $12k for it if it ran great and there were no problems. But that's beside the point...you sell that and every member on this forum gets to take turns flicking you in the nuts for doing something that dumb lol.

  Anywho... This 7k-12k seems to be a rather large gap here... Does nobody else have any guesses/estimates?

It all depends on who buys it. You put it up for $17k. Show some numbers, runs, passes, timeslips... show it working and being legit. People will come and offer less, and you take the highest.
And I'd rather give one swift kick to the balls, then going around touching/flicking them. That's just gay.

you have to realize that you will only get about half of the investment you put into it so that 15 k you put into it will degrade to half when you sell it plus the amount of the car when you bought it, but thats if you sell to a car person. what you want to do it sell it to a daddys girl who is nieve

Well I would definetly be careful who I sell it to. I definetly don't want a new driver or somebody inexperienced to get it and kill themselves in it, or total it... The things gonna have a lot of power and the last thing I wanna do is see it on the front page of the newspaper mangled... lol

If you find somebody that appreciates DSM's and knows all the work you did was done to perfection with new parts, and ran perfectly, i could see 10-11k. But if theres somebody looking for a quick car at a deal, like most people, they will probably be tryin to scam you for half that.

I think you would be doing pretty well to get 9k for it. I would throw it up for 10k and take 9+.
Brian, if you are still looking for a beater, I know a guy trying to sell his 2000 Focus. Its white, I/H/E, 2 x 12" sound system, but I dont know the miles. Anyway, he only wants $2500 for it. Hes got a loan and he either needs $2500 stat or it gets repoed. Sure its a gay Focus, but even if you just drove it for a few months and sold it, you would atleast make your money back. EDIT: Oh noes! Its not a Focus, its an Escort ZX2. And boy, is it ever UGLY! I feel bad trying to pawn this off on you, but here it is. Yeah, I doubt you could get your $$$ back on this one. Sorry man.

Well if you ever sell it to a DSMer you will never get 12k for it. I would doubt anything over 8k that's just the nature of the beast.
