JDM questions for my EG
I want to get quite a few JDM things for my car. And i have quite a few questions so bare with me. First I want to get some side markers but i heard that you have to graft them into your fender or buy a fender with them already in them, Does anyone know if i can do that myself or what kind of persons would be able to do it. And i want to get some JDM fold in mirrors when you turn the key off. I was wondering if that would be hard to install or not or who could. And i want to have my wing be able to go up (like on beetles and Corrado's) when i hit a certain speed (just a fun little thing) , and i would like to be able tomove it up and down with a button. Does anyone know if i could do this or not or any idea how to do it?
thanks so much Ben:alien: |

You would need to be really good and electrical systems....
The mirrors is not that bad....(Requires some tough rewiring).....On eBay right now someone is selling actual power folding mirrors for eg coupes and hatch....You can probebly ask them how hard it would be.... The side markers you will have to cut into your fenders..There is also some wiring splicing..... You can do it two ways...ghetto or perfessional... Ghetto: Cutting a universal hole they fit into...And just rigging them to stay..(glue..3M tape) I've seen it... Professional: Cutting them with the perfect size so the markers clip it..(also should secure them with emblem 3M tape or bonding glue) thats so someone doesn't rip them off (i've seen that too) The spoiler would be hard...I have to admit I've not seen that on a civic.... That would include: Small motor wired throw body to front dash...Sliders connected to motor to move the spoiler.. A botton can be installed on the lower dash like a valey botton for your alarm....Or make a nice button for show on your dash in one of the vacant spots.... But unless done right the spoiler might brake by down force and might not serve any perpose except for looks.... |

Well for the sidemarkers depends on what you want them to do.If you want them to blink drill the holes in your fender to mount them and run wires then splice them into the blinker,if you want them to be on(like running lights)splice them into your,well...running lights or headlights.for the mirrors you will probably need to drill holes for the wires or try running them through your existing adjustment holes and run the wire to something that is connected to your accessary position on your ignition ie;radio, but your radio is probably not the best place but you get the Idea.As for the wing your on your own.Always remember to dissconnect your battery when doing electrical work.
