Re: 1997 Neon power problem
I havent had your problem. Do the headlights work? Does putting the brakes on make the brake lights come on in the back? Does the dome light work? Do the emergency flashters work? Some of these lights involve connectors in the wiring harnesses that run through the firewall. I would wonder if one of those main connectors had gotten pulled apart by a foot shoving on the wires behind the dashboard and brake pedal.
If none of the lights work, I would wonder if you have a ground cable that has come undone, i.e. a ground cable that has broken. Neons have several ground wires, all of which appear to be important. Make sure the connectors on the PCM (next to and above the battery) are fully seated. |

Re: 1997 Neon power problem
ive had a similar problem with another car before, if you changed the battery and still no power. check your battery terminals for corrosion rust etc then check the wires if you see excess copper wiring out of the sheath and broken from the terminals that could be it , or try just changing the battery wires and terminals its pretty cheap
