Question Acceleration

Hello is there a major difference in Acceleration/Speed between the 2.2 vs. 2.4 Liter engines. How fast are these cars really just taking off from a red light. Would you say good peformance on a scale of 1-10, 1 being low, 10 being high. Maybe even compared to prior car.

Re: Acceleration

My little 2.2L, auto will spin the tires with just me in it, if you mash the go pedal too hard from a standstill. It's by no means a rocket, but it's pretty darn good. Way better than 4cyl vehicles from yesteryear.

Re: Acceleration

2.2 = low 16 second high 15 second car stock
2.4 = mid to low 15 second car stock.

Neither one should be considered "fast", if you want fast go with a 2.0
