2002 Taurus Stalling
I have a 2002 Taurus SEL with 83000 miles that periodically stalls. Usually happens after at least 15 minutes of driving and then slowing down. I have noticed that before this happens the battery light will flash sporadically and the last time the oil light was flashing at the same time as the battery light.

We'll need more information as this could be almost anything, a bad fuel pump, clogged gas filter, dirty or defective MAF, etc...

Re: 2002 Taurus Stalling
Is your check engine light on? If so, have the guys at Autozone read the code. That code will likely tell on your problem.

Re: 2002 Taurus Stalling
My wife got stranded in our 2002 wagon...Seems that it could be vapor lock. Many Taurus owners are complaining about the same thing. The engine started up after about 10 minutes of sitting along side of the road and brought her home just fine. Still running O.K. and waiting for it to happen again. Also, all indicator lights came on she said...new battery in the car. Some posts on line say to change fuel pump with a "turbo" that some of the dealers are installing...haven't looked into that yet.
