Civic 90 dash issues

I have a 90 Civic EX with some issues, for which I need some help

Whenever driving, I can hear something "loose" inside the dash, swinging form one side to another. Also, between 0 and 40MPH, I can see the speedmeter is not stable at all. it keeps moving up and down, but passing 40MPH, it holds stable. I could even swear the noise is the speedmeter needle swinging up and down, so I had been tempted to remove the dash to see what's going on.

Also, this car does not "remind" me whenever trying to leave the car with lights ON, or the keys in the switch. I can not hear any sound at all, so guess what have happend: dead battery, locked car .

Since I am assuming this "chime" might be inside the dash too, I would try to fix both issues at the same time, but, since I have never removed a dash before, I need some advise before I mess with something else.

What parts should I be expecting to find "loose & defective"

Thanks for your help in advance.

Re: Civic 90 dash issues

actually this car doesnt have a buzzer to remind you..buuuut you can get them really cheap off of ebay or might get lucky and find a write up on here just search for light buzzer or door buzzer idk. your speedo cable could be loose if the needle is wavering while accelerating really bad. you dont have to remove the whole dash just the cover over the gauges. should only be a few screws and plugs so once you remove the screws see if the plugs are all the way connected.

even if your battery is dead you should be able to unlock your car lol

Actually there is a reminder for the keys, not sure on the lights..someone before you may have removed the buzzer as it is highly annoying.
