afc neo tuning for injectors
hey
I have a 96 eclipse gs-t I just installed the apexi safc neo and i put 650cc injectors in my eclipse so my question is i was trying to figure it out for about a hour or so but how do you put more fuel in to the engine with using the safc neo. i think it it has something to do with throttle or air flow pressure but not sure, any help would be appreciated Thanks aot |

Re: afc neo tuning for injectors
On the air map chart zero is the stock setting. When you subtract airlflow, you lean out the mixture. When you are in the positive, you are richening up the mixture.

Re: afc neo tuning for injectors
Well every car is going to vary. Mine on the low throttle starts at -10 and subtract 1 for every 750 rpm or so. (This was StevieK's advice to me I can't take credit for it) My high throttle is a jumbled mess. I think it starts at -20 and so on till 7000 rpms. Kind of like a safeguard i set 7200 rpms very rich, i think like a -10, which acts as my personal rev limiter. I get a nice pop from the exhaust when I hit it, which isn't very often since I shift at 7K.
Anyway, keep in mind that I have the walbro 190 and the 550 injectors, with boost set to 20psi. With your 255, and 650s you are going to be running alot richer, so you will have to subtract alot more airflow than I did. Also a fuel pressure regulator will help so you aren't running so rich at idle. Remember when tuning though, its best to have some sort of data logger. I personally found the wideband to be very helpful while tuning.

Re: afc neo tuning for injectors
old injectors 450cc divided by new injectors 650cc minus 1
= subtract 30% fuel.
