Re: speedo accuracy

just keep doing what you are doing and sooner or later a cop will let you know how accurate it is.

What the hell is this? None of his mods have anything to do with making his car go faster...

Not everybody mods a car to run it at its top speed everywhere they can. That is just stupid... I suppose you would think with the car I am building I would be driving it 160mph everywhere just cause it can do it? Answer is hell no... Theres no reason to be driving a car around at 148mph, especially on a road that dead ends to your house... What would you have done if your brakes had gone out on you while playing that little game? Also, just because there are no cops around doesn't make it right. What if something or someone had jumped out in front of you while you were going that fast?

I swear, nobody ever thinks of these things when speeding like that...

I also don't see how this has anything to do with speedometer accuracy. It sounds like you just wanna talk about maxing out the top speed of you car. I don't like threads like this when your doing it on the streets. Keep stupid speeds to the track where the proper emergency services are available to peel your dumbass off the pavement when you wreck...

Re: speedo accuracy

yeah...none of those mods were done to make this fat pig go any faster. And the only reason I have a lightweight flywheel on it is because I needed to get my clutch replaced, and i figured I might as well upgrade the flywheel along with it. As for everything else, they either make it stop better, turn better, launch better, or just all in all drive tighter. There is no point in trying to make this car real fast in street trim because it's simply too fat, especially when I have as much stereo in my car as I do.

Re: speedo accuracy

Yup... It happened around my area several years back. Guy was doin like 90 through a small town and a little girl came into the road between two parked cars and he hit and killed her. Got charged with vehicular manslaughter and is now spending the rest of his life in jail... Two families must suffer forever now because of unnecessary speeding...
