Easy way to pop oil pan gasket in??

The oil pan gasket on my 2001 Taurus 12V popped out on the passenger side. Anybody know if it is possible to "pop" it back in without removing the whole oil pan and exhaust? I'm guessing I have to remove the whole pan. But if anyone knows of an easier way PLEASE let me know. If not I guess I will be selling the heap. Just not worth sinking money into it anymore.

The pan gasket is a simple, easy and inexpensive fix. Even with dropping the exhaust it should only take a couple hours maximum. It is possible to lower the pan and fish a new gasket in place. You have to be careful not to cut it or hang it on the oil pump assembly. But selling it for an oil pan gasket may be just a little extreme. But then again, it is your vehicle. Good luck.

You would have to understand the amount of money i have soaked into this overpriced lawn ornament in the 6 months i have owned it. The Ford stealer wants about $500 to do the work depending on how stubborn the exhaust is. Just isnt worth it anymore.

Took the heap for its last ride this afternoon. Traded in for an Olds Bravada. Wife needs AWD anyways.

Did you inspect the car throughly before you bought it? If you didn't, you only have yourself to blame for buying a vehicle that needed a lot of work.

I always inspect my vehicles before i buy them. i also have a mechanic inspect them too. This was the third Taurus I have owned and havent had a good experience yet. Only bought them because Taurus are so damn cheap to buy. It definetely will be the last one I ever own. Sorry Taurus fans. Going back to GM.
