1995 supreme starting problem=
sometimes for no apparent reason it fails to turn over for about 8 minutes. then it starts as it should. i recently acquired this car. so i don,t konw how long this has been going on. question= is there some type of security device?

yes thiers a passlock system and they can foul up causing several no start issues.
Best to take it to the stealership and hav it diagnosed. Since you 95 is a hybrid ODB I&II its hard for the DIY'er to scan unless you have one that covers your 95, they run about $400-500 !

owners book does not say to put a foot on the brake pedal,so we ain,t doing that. also we are using a new factory key. so far,so good. no problem now.

sorry for late reply. this car acts up if you apply a foot to the brake pedal while starting. nowadays no more problem as long as we do not touch the brake pedal while trying to start.
