FYI ,, how to remove the circuit on the Driver side Switch

heres how to separate the circuit board from the Driver side Power window switch. you'll need a soldering pencil for this. First remove the bottom cover by carefully prying the lock tabs. on the circuit board you'll need to find the numbers marked 1, 2 and 3 if your looking at the board with the number right side up (not upside down) #1 and 3 are at .. if you look at the center of the board its just to the right 1/4" soldered tab .. 3 above that and 4 below. #2 is located top row on the soldered strips (11 in total) its the one below the 3 strip.. you'll see #2 on the right of that solder Be careful not to force the board .. remove all the solder and it should just pop out.. if you pry too hard you will separate the copper circuit from the switch .. its not your greatest design. you'll need the remove the solder from that pin (solder strip or a Desolder Vacuum pump, Radio shack/the Source sells them for like $12)

Re: FYI ,, how to remove the circuit on the Driver side Switch

amarc don't email me if your not going to accept my answer .. This is the message: I have a problem with the LH front powere window switch. I have managed to remove the circuit board with the information that you posted on the forum. I am now trying to remove the switch part in order to try and see if I can fix the contacts going to pin#E. If you can help me in getting the switch part out I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your help. Alex Answer .. After taking that apart, the Switch was fine but the Circuit was the problem. so i got one of a Trans Sport and swaped the circuit .. the Trans Sport sw was grey/red back light and mine was Black/white back light. got it at the wreckers for $45cnd.. next Project :-:-: power the rear Quarters like GregA .. hehhe
