Bought celica, tiny problems.

First off heres the new addition to the family


Bought a celica today, got it checked by my mechanic buddy, engine is in pristine condition, just some cosmetic defects. Before i take it to mechanic or body shop so they can take my arm and leg for the repairs, id like to know what i need to do to repair them from you experts (i can put a PC together in 20 min from nothing, but i have no idea what im looking at when i pop the hood)


The hood has a small patch that needs to be covered. My guess is just to repaint the hood black, and buff up the rest of the car (for the same shinyness).

The moonroof button to open the moonroof closes, but to open it its kinda difficult, it will work if i try hard enough, if not it wont. My guess is that its a loose wire?

The bass from the stero just wont work, the dude had a custom system in it, disconnected the sub but left the amp in there (disconnected, but he bought a better one). If i connected it to maybe 1 sub and check the wireing again, it should be all better no?



This light isnt working, my guess just get a new one?

Lastly, need an alarm, most of my buddies with cars have this one.

Edit: Oh also, driver side door wont lock w/ alarm or the switch. Gotta do it manually... Dunno what could that be. Wires? The previous owner had an alarm really shittly installed, im guessing that could be it

I understand that for this pice any car i buy will come with some defects, im glad i got the car i wanted with a few, i dont mind fixing em in the near future, just need some guidance

Yeah the paint is bad and it needs repainted on the hood. It probably is like that else where too so look around. If you live near the ocean or in the salt belt, it'll eventually rust where the clear coat has come off.

sunroof, probably needs the track cleaned and the switch replaced.

doorlock, probably needs to be replaced or the wires in the door boot need to be checked.

stereo, depends. Most of the time anything audio wise left in a car is considered "not worth removing" when someone sells a car. The only thing I could tell you is to get what you are missing and see if it'll work.

I can live with the stero, and the dead light (since i dont use those miami is a very lit city hehe). But for the moonroof, hood, and door, ballpark estmate how much?
