Need Help break light swicth

Trying to install a break controler an a 96 tahoe and I need to know where the break lite switch is or what wire I tap into ??
Any help will be great

The brake light switch is positioned in a bracket and mounted immediately behind (that is, as viewed from the front of the car - it's between the driver and the brake arm) the brake pedal arm. It contacts it directly. There may be more than one circuit attaching it, however - so the best thing is to go get a manual on the vehicle and look at the wiring diagrams.

From my '98 C/K manual the wire you need to find at the brake switch is the white one. Your '96, hopefully, is the same.
