I have a 2001 Lincoln Town Car Exec, the air bag light flashes twice, stops, and then flashes twice again. I am guesing that this means code 22, which I found on this forum to read "Safing sensor output circuit shorted to battery voltage" Does anyone know what I need to do to fix this?

Re: Airbag code 22?
Sounds like a shorted clockspring.

Re: Airbag code 22?
Both of these answers are wrong for this vehicle. The probelm is in the side airbg circuit. Every vehicle has it's own diagnostic DTC chart and although some codes are similar, this is something that needs to be EXACT, or you will cause yourself a lot of trouble.
The correct flow chart is available on our website and it's worth the cost to get the right information about your own car. Everything can be printed so you only have to log on once
