Tranny???

Hi all, i have a 1992 oldsmobile model 88 royal, and about a month ago, with no notice it began to start in 2nd gear. to be more specific, when i am stopped and i hit the gas, it starts in 2nd. i just wanted to know if anybody knew about a sensor or if this is a common problem with the valve body in the transmission. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to AF, could be in default or something in the trans let go, get it scanned on a trans function scanner for a proper diagnosis.
