Digital dashboard going bananes speedometer

Hello

Also I'm new at the forum, I drive a lebaron 1987 conv. for fun in the summer time.
Live in the netherlands and not much Crysler lebarons are driving her anymore.
so info is not easy to get.
My speedometer will give random number when I drive from 0 till 224 km.
First the problem was only some time's, but now its alway's the wrong speed.
And I can not find the sending unit under the car, where is thise part
Hope to hear a answer to thise question.

Hey Paul,

I was asking the same question here a few posts back, but what I wil do is go to the Chrysler dealer here in Town with in the next few days an ask them cause mine hase gone haywire as wel.

Where in Holland do you live?? I was born there (surhuisterveen Friesland) and I live in Canada now.

The sending unit is in the transmission. From one I worked on it was the dash display.

I live in the south of the netherlands, limburg a very small town called baexem (45 Km south of Eindhoven).

I hope too hear de diagnose of y'our garage.

Hello

So it shoud be on the side of the driverseat.
Have too look agian because last time i was not able to spot it.

On the backside of the transaxle near the differential.

A small update:

Today I ordered a new sending unit, if there is one in europe I will recieve it within 24 u, if not it will take 2 weeks .

99% that this is the broken part.
