Re: Towing lights?
I have a 99 Sport that has a ball on the bumper but no tow package. I do have the wiring. Look under the bumber just to the left of the ball. You would have wiring hanging down going into a rubber fitting with the female end sticking through.

Re: Towing lights?
If the wiring pigtail is not already installed, there is often a wiring jack underneath the driver's side rear taillight, accessed from under the vehicle. From the factory, this connector will have a rubber cap installed to protect the terminals.
If your Explorer has this jack already, you can purchase the wiring harness that will just plug in to the jack and extend wires to the center of your rear bumper with the connector plug of your choice. -Rod |

Re: Towing lights?
"Pigtail" "Terminal" "Jack" I dunno the technical terms thanks for correcting me Rod. If the wiring from his trailer has the same connector can you just plug straight in to the stock terminal? I tried that and the trailer lights did not work but I didnt know if they were working anyways so......
