1995 Dakota 4x4 318 no spark at coil

Truck broke down on vacation in yoder kansas (Horse and buggy) Had it towed to Hutchinson autozone. The people there were completely incompetent and went on and on about how ford engines were so much better than mopar bla bla bla. The truck ran all morning and then died at a stop sign after exiting the highway.

*No spark at coil
*Turns over wont start (no spark)
*error code 32 'EGR system failure'
*was low on oil but engine will still turn over thank god
*Battery is fine

1995 Dodge Dakota 5.2L V8 Magnum (318) 4X4

Any help narrowing down this problem would help before I start throwing money at it.

Re: 1995 Dakota 4x4 318 no spark at coil

The mechanics at autozone were wrong again (retards) I checked the ignition coil and it was bad. Replaced it and truck fired right up. The next day truck wouldn't start. Unplugged coil and plugged it back in truck started up. Few days later Truck started and got me out of town then wouldn't start. Unplugged coil re plugged and it started then died every 10 ft (on very washboard dirt road). Turns out the Wire (ground I think) that plugs into the bottom of the coil was pulled in half (the gray wire) I had to remove tape to find it. Hopefully thats it. It also has VERY LOW RPM's now (idles just above first line)
