1996 jimmy 4.3L 4x4 switching problem not going back to 2wd
i have 96 jimmy yesterday i pushed the button 4hi and 4lo working and its not going back to 2wd when i clicked the 2wd button i hearing the some click sound but it still stay 4x4 so i try to remove battery and install back there noting happent still stay same please help what should i do. how can i reset or how can fix ? thanks pleasee helpppp

I used to have a 96 blazer that did the same thing. Mine was a wire harness issue after getting the trans replaced. Check all fuses and then check if wire harness is ok from the transfer case to the switching module. My truck used to switch to 4 hi and then pop the fuse whenever it got wet. I believe the switching motor is a 25 amp fuse but havent had that truck in 5 years so I may be wrong. look it up in a service manual or in the user manual. Hope that helps. You are going to get dirty trying to find the problem on this.
