1992 honda accord ignition problem
2 weeks ago my car was almost stolen! Whoever tried to steal it drilled out my ignition. I can fit my keys into the ignition but it wont turn over. When I first found out about this, I opened the driver door and the door chime was going off as if I left my keys in the ignition and I saw two white plastic pieces and a black round rubber peice on the floor mat. Is there a way that I can fix that or is it a hard task? It pisses me off because this is my daily driver, it has 236k miles on it and it STILL runs like a champ.
Thanks for all replies. |

Re: 1992 honda accord ignition problem
I don't know what you mean when you say it won't turn over. Can you turn the key through all the positions-accessories, run, start? If you can and the starter won't engage, you have an ignition switch problem in addition to a ignition tumbler problem. If you can't turn the key, you will need to replace the tumbler assembly. Do you have comprehensive insurance on the car?
