Performance Chip- Power and Fuel Economy
I ran across someone on eBay that custom programs chips for OBDI GM vehicles and he said I can get an increase 6-7 mpg, 25-30 HP and 30-40 torque with his chip. The chip is only $105 delivered and a money back guarantee. What do you all think? I currently have a 1990 Chevy Sub. and get around 16 after a tune-up so +7 mpg would be awesome.

Do not hold your breath on all of that HP and gas mileage. If you are getting 16 that is good. You sub is a heavy truck. And is not noted for real good gas mileage. And before you start tampering with the emissions and chips read. http://www.epa.gov/air/caa/caa203.txt http://www.epa.gov/air/caa/caa205.txt SEC. 205. CIVIL PENALTIES. (a) Violations.- Any person who violates sections 203(a)(1), 203(a)(4), or 203(a)(5) or any manufacturer or dealer who violates section 203(a)(3)(A) shall be subject to a civil penalty of not more than $25,000. Any person other than a manufacturer or dealer who violates section 203(a)(3)(A) or any person who violates section 203(a)(3)(B) shall be subject to a civil penalty of not more than $2,500.

Re: Performance Chip- Power and Fuel Economy
I weight it on Sunday and it is 5100 pounds. If it gets better fuel economy, how could that make emissions worse? I still have my converter and besides, I live in Oklahoma where there isn't any testing. I will give it a shot. If it gets me 4 mpg, it will pay for itself in 4 tanks.
