Angry What's wrong with my 02 Focus

I've had my 2002 Ford focus into the dealership 7 times and they still can't find out whats wrong...I've currently paid over a $1000.00 for parts and labor only to still have it stall on me in traffic. Over the last year and a bit, it will intermittenly stall or act like it's starving for fuel(chugging). The mechanics at Wood Motors in Fredericton NB can't find the problem they just keep suggesting parts to try with. Any Ideas?
The dealership made me so angry that to get even I started a forum to complain about all the things that piss me off! So if there is something or someone bothering you tell them off at:

Re: What's wrong with my 02 Focus

My 2000 zx3 did the same thing a year or so ago. It would randomly stall out after chugging along. It was making the noises of a manual car before it stalls. My issue was the vacuum hose. Is this something they checked out already?

Re: What's wrong with my 02 Focus

I have exactly the same problem with my 02 focus wagon right now. My wife is on the road with it, and it started sputtering. She took it in to the Ford dealership in the nearest town, and they charged $75 to say they couldn't find anything wrong. I'm hoping it makes it back ok. Any other suggestions besides a vacuum hose?

Thanks.

Re: What's wrong with my 02 Focus

when looking at the front right side of the engine just in front of the thermostat housing you will find a 45 degrees hose that hooks into the pcv valve. check that hose it runs all the way to the back of the engine. inspect it carefully and you will find that these hoses will collapse where it hooks into the intake. $40 from the dealer.

Agreed, Chuck. They are also prone to splitting after they get so soft...
