I got gas in my oil and dont know the prob.

Alright i got a 94 z28 lt1 camaro and im not sure whats wrong with it. I got gas in the oil and when i start it it runs for a sec. and then it dies. I think it might be an injector but im not for sure so i thought id ask to see if anyone has any suggestions or answers to my problem.
Thanks.

Are you sure it's gas and not water? If it is gas then it sounds to me like one or more of your pistons may need new rings, which could be causing a loss in compression, and thus only running for a second or 2. Or if it turns out to be water/coolant, then it's probably either 1 or both of your head gaskets leaking which again could cause a drop in compression and not allow the engine to run for more than a second or 2. I would suggest doing a compression check across all cylinders first though.

Re: I got gas in my oil and dont know the prob.

i know this is an old thread now, but i just wanted to point out that if it does turn out to be gas, you might try checking your compression first like he said, if that checks out ok, then there is a good chance you have a leaky injector. try a fuel pressure test, and see if your pressure leaks down, also try checking the injectors for cracks in the case, torn, missing, or misshapen o-rings, and any other sign that the injector might be leaking.
