This is just your opinion, and its not true. If your statement was 100% true, then all the other companies would go out of business, wouldnt they?

Think about this stuff before posting. Nissan makes great cars, but there are obvious advantages and disadvantages to every manufacturer's vehicles.

Maybe if you actually wanted to start a legit discussion, make some good points, and point out which models you prefer over others.

Yip Nissans are so shit hot that Renult was able to buy them out.

They make some nice cars, but like most of the other Japanese manufactors they lack orginality in thier designs, and have been useing old forms of suspension and engine design for a long time, all in the hope of cutting prodiction costs.

Unforunatly they still failed to make money on enough models to be saved, and it was only some Vague potential that renult saw in the company that saved them from complete ruin.

well that was becuase during that time, most of nissans line up was bargan performance machines. a japanese car company of that scale cannot survive on makin just sports car alone. i think it was after that they were bought out by renult was when they lost their sport car imagine. atleast in america. now that nissan is startin to profit again, i think they're goin to revive their sporting imagine that they once had. but in my opinion, nissan is the japanese performance company. look at these examples, the Z, the GT-R, the pulsur GTi-R's, the Silvia's, even the bluebirds were turbo AWD's. they also had gloria's, and another car that was a station wagon that had a skyline powertrain. now how crazy is that?!?

you still have to give nissan credit, it still did have its moments. during the early 90's it was a performance powerhouse. with those technological marvels out, no one would've ever thought that it would go nearly bankrupt. its not the product that killed them, it was the marketing department. as you know, its all in the marketing, you can sell crap as long as there is a strong marketing campain. and you have the best cars in the world, but if its not exposed to the general public as much, then it wouldn't suceed.

I agree with Pick. Quite frankly I own only Nissans and prefer Nissans to any other make of vehicle. They went through a 'bad marketing' phase in the 90's..remember the creepy old man who kept leading children into his barn to moles..I mean, to show them his cars? "Dogs love trucks!" The campaigns were horrid but the cars were good..my 91 Sentra ran happily from 162,000 to 186,000 miles with only a water pump replacement. I totaled it, sold it, and now it's running strong again after some cosmetic fixes.

Nissan has shown an astounding amount of financial improvement since implementing the revival plan - they've come out with several new, exciting, reliable cars since: The 2002 "North American Car of the Year" Altima, the "can't keep it on the dealer lots" 350Z, the "Finally, a BMW beater" G35, etc, etc.

I don't care whether you like them or not, that's personal taste. But if you're going to make statements regarding their financial success, you might want to do your research first.

Telemarketers continue to turn a profit because a lot of people are idiots who don't research their purchases and spend tons of money on crap. Same with spammers. They spam 'cause there's always someone dumb enough to buy their penis enlargers.

Plenty of businesses that make junk stay in business. Like Iomega. The Sparq drive had the capacity of a Jazz disk for 1/10 the price, and was more reliable/durable, but bad marketing put them out of business.

As long as the American consumer buys stuff based on its "cuteness" (iMac, I'm looking in your direction), instead of its value/quality/functionality, marketing is what makes the company, not profit.

I'm not saying you have to think that Nissan is the ultimate end-all of auto manufacturers, I'm saying I disagree with your logic.
