Where to Buy a Fuel Gauge Sending Unit?

It seems I again have a bad sending unit in the gas tank of a 97 Lesabre. It reads full all of the time. Does anyone know a good source for purchasing a sending unit? I think there was an old post quite a while back where someone mentioned a good place for buying one on-line. I don't recall the name of the place. Thanks.

Re: Where to Buy a Fuel Gauge Sending Unit?

I don't recall the post at the moment, but I have purchased my sending units for my vehicles at www.rockauto.com . They carry multi lines to meet every budget. For your '97 they list a Spectra Premium for 89.99/96.79 (depending on your harness code) at the low end of the price chart,Fineline for 123.79/150.79, and at the top of the price chart is A C Delco at 332.89/348.99 . I've used the Spectra Premium brand in the past, and now with no problems.

Re: Where to Buy a Fuel Gauge Sending Unit?

Send me a PM and I'll let you know a good, reliable, reputable source for GM/AC Delco parts that many AF members use. He has the fuel level sending unit/float for around $85.

Will do. Thanks for the information. I called the salvage yard today and they are going for $45 to $50 fuel pump included. Kind of reluctant to put another salvaged one in. The one in it was salvaged. Thanks.

PM sent with supplier. Nothing wrong with salvaged/pull parts but they are like a box of chocolates. Never know what you are going to get. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
