Re: grill question

I think the cut out grille looks better than the bolt-over.

Re: grill question

Yeah I agree. Any thing bolt over and all you see is the existing one behind it. However, I can't say much cause, I went for the entire Chrome Front end..Which when placed next to a stock one look's wayyyyyy better!

Re: grill question

Are you referring to billet inserts, or a whole new grill shell?

As far as billet/whatever you're looking at, cut out the stock before. It'll look 10x's cleaner.

Re: grill question

Mu advice would be to get a grille you like, most "bolt over" grilles clip on to the sides of the grille, It takes 5 minutes to cut out a silverado grille with a dremel...

My speed grille came with clips the attach it to the shell of the grille not the stock grille itself... so instead of painting the stock grills so u cant see them I just cut them out, Im actully taking off my grille off this weekend to put on a bigger trans cooler so i will take a picture of the grille when I get it off, so it eaiser to see what im talkin about..

I got one too but i havent put it in yet. Do the clips hold the grill inserts good or did u screw it on in some places for added security? I put my grill inserts in on my ss bumper cover with just the clips but i worry if i hit a big bump it might fly out but evertime i check it seems pretty sturdy. Maybe i will screw it down just in case.

Re: grill question

I did a bolt over three years ago and it still looks good to me. Affordable and easy to put on!!! Oh, and I did it over a chrome Suburb. grill insert as well!!
