97 Passport EX - Overheating Problems, Please Help!!
I have searched the forum, and read many posts. Hopefully some can give me an answer.
I tend to overheat in stop and go traffic. But on the highway or constant driving, I don’t seem to run hot. I currently replaced the thermostat (OEM Isuzu), water pump, upper hoses and Fan Clutch. The radiator has been flushed and replaced with new coolant. I don’t see why it’s still running hot. What can possibly be wrong now? Radiator? Please help. BTW, I have a 97 Passport EX, w/108K 3.2L.

is the rad full? There could just be air in the system.
Or seeing that your rad is 10 years old it could be that too (I'm sure you read some posts, about folks doing the same steps that you have already, and it ended up being the rad).

The Radiator is full. And based on the other threads on this issue, I followed the steps to remove any air in the system.

I'd vote for the rad, too, if you're sure there are no leaks.

Park your truck nose up, take the radiator cap off (start with fairly cool engine), start the truck let it run for 10 minutes or so with heater on high - this will open the whole cooling system and allow for any remaining air to escape.
If you've already done this and it's still getting hot, have you also cleaned your radiator fins really well - lots of debris actually get caught in between the radiator & a/c condensor, causing overheating issues. Could also be time to replace the radiator too; I have a 97 Rodeo and replaced mine end of last summer, starting to show it's age and blockages. If you have not done so, your heater core hoses are most likely shot as well, passanger side near the firewall.

If you're 100% with everything you've done I'd say you need a new radiator. I've ordered from radiatorbarn.com in the past with no problems.

mine does the same thing too, i noticed that when it was doing that my A/C was on so i would hose it down with water(A/C rad) and the temp would go back to normal,so to fix that problem i installed an electric automotive fan on the outside of the A/C rad and now it acutually help in cooling and A/C is cooler now
