hey all bought a 89 prelude, bad start...

hey all just bought an 89 prelude...251,000km

first thing in the morning she idles about 2k rpm, and sher runs real rough like she bogs down....wont stall just bogs down lots....

this lasts about 5-10 min and then she idles about 800 rpm and she runs really good no issues

just woundering where I can check...thanks

make sure theres no vacuum leak then clean out the carb

is there an easy way to clean the carb...its at an akward angle and tough to get hands in there

make sure its not FI because they are harder to get to the carb should be right on top of the motor real easy to get too if not then ur car must be fuel injected if so u have to claen out the throttle body with throttle body cleaner. probably really dirty.. warning spraying cleaner in the throttle body or carb can cause car to stall out and be hard to start for a min or two so while u spray the cleaner raise up the idle to counteract this and u should be ok
