some of my bikes

Im awake at stupid hours trying to wear down a beer buzz, so heres some pictures of a few of my bikes.

This is my Mongoose ive had since i was a teenager. The miles ive put on it would be impossible to guess. I put a old 3 speed schwinn chain wheel, wich has 48 teeth. Its ugly but makes the bike haul more ass on top end than a 43 or 44 tooth. I broke the gyro so the brake cables are some get-me-by's.

Heres a GT i got last year. I think its a Mach 1. Im more rough with this one than i am with the mongoose cause the goose means more to me.

Heres a bike ive had for several years, a trek 370. Its been to hell and back and has stood the test of time. It has IRC paperlite tires 20c on rigida DP18's. It looks stripped cause i put the equpiment like speedo/light/bag/bottle holders onto my schwinn mountan bike.

Heres a 26 inch Schwinn Frontier. Its a budget bike like the others, and is tough like the others. Right now its the one i trust the most to go in and out of town on. Lately me and this bike have been making 50+ mile trips multiple times a week.

My limit is around 65 miles in a day, wich involves all sorts of terrain. This is weak compared to what i could do 10 years ago. Im out of practice but ive been trying toincrease each ride time by 1-2 miles every trip. I hope to be able to ride 100 miles per day by the end of the summer. If i can do that again i might have to go out and buy myself a new bike.

Re: some of my bikes

You aren't riding this much EVERY day are you? That is too much to train on unless your a pro or something. I try to limit my rides to around 40 miles with the occasional 100+miler. If you try to do too much every day, your body will not strengthen cause you are constantly beating on it. Those are some ghetto rides BTW

No not every day, just every time i get the chance wich is right now twice a week. Work cuts into my time but my goal is specific. By mountain bike I go from base 25 miles, rest for 30 and ride the 25 miles back to town. The part i cant fully do yet but want to is after the first 50 mile trip, hop on the mongoose and ride 8 miles across town, around a 9.6 mile bike trail at the lake, and back 8 miles. From there i could ride another 2 miles to another lake, around a 9 mile dirt track and back 2 miles home. The part i cant handle yet is the trip around the second lake. In the middle of this trip certain muscles run out of energy and go sore, wich is diet related im thinking. I bet if i was to stay on the mountain bike and keep a good pace i could ride over 100 miles already.

Ghetto? Nah i just need my gyro fixed, everything else im cool with. They Dont have to look good, i trust them to the extent i push them with all my might until i feel like i will break. Then i force myself to continue until my muscles no longer listen to my brain .
