Voltage Problems
Last october I was having problems with my battery charging in my '93 Stealth. So I replaced the battery and I went ahead and replaced the alternator. Jump to now my battery gauge started reading 16 volts or higher. I thought maybe it was a bad battery,so I put a different battery in and still the same. I tested the battery with meter and it read 12.7 volts, I started the car and tested it was 14.4 volts, I had my wife rev the engine and it tested to 17.7 volts. I don't want to go to all the trouble of removing the alternator to have it tested just to find out that's not it. So I'm just curious if anyone has seen anything like this or know of something for me to do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Voltage Problems
You can have the alt tested in car. Just go to Auto Zone, Advance, Checkers, whatever and they can do it right there with it in the car.
