02 for ranger wont pass 3000 rpm

got a 2002 ford ranger and replaced egr valve, altinator plugs and wires, and the truck wont pass 3000 rpm no check engine light. It just bogs at 3000 rpm, could it be the iac valve??

Re: 02 for ranger wont pass 3000 rpm

Could possibly be the exhaust or catalytic converter or muffler clogged or partially blocked

Re: 02 for ranger wont pass 3000 rpm

that's normal - the vehicle is designed with a rev limit to prevent people from blowing it up in park.
