Re: HLJ.com

Excellent, excellent, as long as it takes.

HLJ sends bulk shipments to the US. It saves money, but it can take a week or so for a bulk shipment to accumulate before being sent out. Two or three weeks is pretty standard, four or more is not unheard of. If anything you order is backordered/out of stock, your order will not ship until everything is in stock at the same time- and that can add months to your wait. If you want something that's backordered, always order it separately.

If you want something faster, you can pay for faster shipping.

Re: HLJ.com

i order on a want and need basis but the best method is build a stack of cash then buy everything at once to save on shipping costs. delivery can be anything from 7 to 12 days from my experience

Re: HLJ.com

I have never used HLJ before, I always go to these guys http://www.1999.co.jp. The service is a little slow. Where as HLJ seems to be a little faster in receiving orders. So its really up to you who you chose to order from. Quality? If you mean the kits, there good you get what you pay for. Packaging is also great you can tell they ship with care. As for how long it takes, to your suprise it takes quicker than you would think. I get kits from all around the world and the longest i had to wait was maybe a week and a day. "AND I LIVE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MIDWEST"!!!! The quickest was about one week and getting it on saturday. But the only down side is the shipping cost, be ready to pay the same amount for shipping as you would for a kit and maybe some rims. But other than that HLJ is very good in both Quality and in Service. Hope you get what you want!

Re: HLJ.com

I use HLJ all the time. They are not the quickest, although they are not the slowest either.I usually get my items within 7-10 days of it being shipped, which I think is pretty good for the distance it travels and bearing in mind I always select the cheapest shipping method (SAL) The one good thing about HLJ is they are trustworthy, reliable and they pack all the items really well.I've never had anything arrive broken in the 4 years I've ordered from them and I've ordered a lot of stuff in that 4 years.
You may also consider Mediamix Hobby in Singapore.Again very good service, reliable and trustworthy and they ship fast as well.1999.co.jp are also very good but i find the shipping costs can be a little high as they only ever use the most expensive shipping method.

Re: HLJ.com

Here is the link for mediamix, it took me 5 seconds and google:
http://www.mediamixhobby.com.sg/catalog/index.php

For HLJ, they dont have a live update system, and they are kinda slow to pack and send. But I always get what I want.
To Norway it takes about 14 days.

But I can recomend www.hiroboy.com on the strongest. To Norway it takes about 4-5 days from the time I order to it is at my place.

I have found MediaMixHobby to be 100% excellent in terms of shipping and service.

Takes 5 to 9 days to get here in Taiwan. And I must say that Hiroboy is a great person to do business with.

Re: HLJ.com

Steve I love buying from you, your service makes it too easy and I spend to much money on your site

MediaMix are also 100% on service, I ordered a kit they where empty off, and not in production, so they let me order another set, slightly more expencive. Not more to pay, thats great.

Must say that I never have had any problems with HLJ, they are just slow.

Agreed, MediaMix are brilliant, but I find that they are slow to re-stock.

HLJ service many countries; therefore, popular stocks are depleted quickly. They do; however, have a backorder service (which MediaMix don't) that allows you to at least place an order and wait for re-stock. I don't find them slow at all, usually take 2 weeks for my order to arrive in England. It may differ for other countries though.

Re: HLJ.com

I personally recommend Steve as I've dealt with him long before he opened the store and he's always been a standup-guy to deal with.
