Flashing temp on my 92 SSEI with No AC
I have No AC . When I first start the car, My automatic climate control temperature blinks for a minute, then stays solid. When I try to put my AC on, the econ display comes on. Some one told me it might be caused by a defective actuator not opening. Can I get a second opinion before I attempt to replace it.

Re: Flashing temp on my 92 SSEI with No AC
Verify that the external temperature sensor is connected and has the correct resistance at a given temperature. The sensor should be mounted in front of the radiator on the hood latch support or vertical brace. Insert a 220 ohm resistor in place of the sensor and see if the display stops flashing once the ignition is cycled on.
